RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Schedule options: 4x10 (Tuesday-Friday) or 5x8 (Monday-Friday) with call required
• Patient ratio: 5 patients during day shifts
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience required
• Must live 150 miles or more from facility
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Extensive surgical skills required including: lobe resection, lung resection, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reductions, laminectomy, spinal fusion, joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy
• Additional skills needed: fire safety, cell saver, blood product administration, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, universal protocol procedures, wound management
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Charting system experience required (Altera experience preferred)
• Travel experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must complete orientation modules (6-8 hours, non-billable)
• Facility conducts mandatory drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Hard document deadline: Thursday 2pm CST prior to start date
