RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with rotating weekends and holidays
• No call required but floating to medical surgical units required
• PCU patient ratio 1:5, Medical Surgical ratio 1:7 when floating
• Must have minimum 2 years of experience with previous PCU experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers with Level 1 trauma experience
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, AHA ACLS
• Epic charting system preferred
• 24-hour orientation with 16 hours non-billable
• Care for adult patients with PCU and medical surgical diagnoses
• Skills include blood product administration, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac drips without titration, telemetry monitoring, IV management, and use of rapid response teams
• Special procedures include dialysis and peritoneal dialysis
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Must maintain permanent residence 100+ miles from hospital service area
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online modules
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty based on census

The organization maintains 24/7 phlebotomy, respiratory, and supervisor support across all units, emphasizing quality patient care and clinical education for future nursing professionals.
