RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with holiday coverage required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Maintain 2:1 patient ratios during days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Floating is 100% required - may float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Care for adolescents, infants, and pediatric patients
• 2 years of nursing experience required (18 months minimum per facility policy)
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS
• Essential skills include administration of blood & blood products, care of ventilated patients, central line/implanted line care, infection control/PPE, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, pediatric dosage calculations, and PICC line management
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Indiana nursing license must be in hand prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• First time travelers accepted
• 2 supervisor references required
• University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary
