RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for 8/10-hour shifts, 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts, or 48 hours for four 12-hour shifts
• Scrubbing cardiovascular cases required
• Float to other OR specialties as needed
• Call requirements: approximately 100 hours per 6 weeks with 1 call weekend per 6 weeks (Friday evening to Monday morning)
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 2 years of experience required, first-timers accepted if they have Level I Trauma experience
• BLS certification required
• Must have Indiana, compact, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start
• Experience with heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO required
• Must have 3 out of 4 core cardiovascular procedures experience
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Travel experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Endovascular procedures experience is a plus

Facility:

This short-term acute care hospital operates as a comprehensive medical center with multiple units totaling over 700 staffed beds across different locations. The facility specializes in advanced cardiovascular procedures including heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO support. The hospital maintains a daily census of 70-80 patients with 24 operating rooms and utilizes Cerner charting systems. The facility offers free parking and provides charge pay opportunities with additional compensation for leadership responsibilities.
