RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with every other weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 1:7 for days, nights, and weekends
• No call responsibilities
• Float to other units when needed
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• First time travelers accepted
• Must live 100 miles from the facility
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation beginning on Sundays
• General orientation includes online CBLs
• Work with adult patient population with daily census of 35
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Required to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Extensive skills required including telemetry monitoring, IV management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, and various post-operative care
• Must complete drug test 12-14 calendar days prior to start
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing per CDC guidelines
• Complete 4-5 hours of non-billable modules during orientation

This regional medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on medical surgical and telemetry care. The facility maintains a 35-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization is committed to nursing education and requires contract staff to actively participate in clinical student education alongside patient care responsibilities.
