RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hours per week considered
• 4:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Must work some holidays
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 24-bed unit with daily census of 24 patients
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, CVA care, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, cardiac drip management, tracheostomy care, wound care, and IV management
• Must complete on-site drug screening prior to start
• All documentation due 3 business days prior to start date
• Active nursing license required before start date
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius not accepted

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a 24-bed Progressive Care Unit providing intermediate-level care for patients requiring closer monitoring than general medical-surgical units but not intensive care. The facility serves adult and geriatric populations with a focus on cardiac care, post-procedural monitoring, and patients with complex medical conditions requiring telemetry monitoring and specialized nursing interventions.
