RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM with flexible option 10:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekly orientation on Monday with ASAP start
• 2 years of General Surgery experience required
• Travel experience required
• BLS certification required
• Call required: Up to 12 hours per week (Monday 7 PM through Friday 7 AM) plus 12 hours of weekend call (Friday 7 PM through Sunday 7 PM)
• Every other holiday required
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Work in 7-room OR suite with daily census of 25 OR cases
• Skills required include appendectomy, arthroscopy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, mastectomy, joint replacement, and specimen handling
• Must be proficient in general OR procedures, code response, fire safety, infection control, and universal protocol
• Must have compact license or Maryland license (some units accept pending MD license)
• Two supervisor references required
• No RTO permitted during first two weeks of assignment
