Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Echo Technologist - Echo Tech

Job Details:

• 36 guaranteed hours per week with facility allowed to call off 3 times throughout 13-week assignment
• No weekend requirements or on-call responsibilities
• No floating required within facility
• Work in 3-room department with daily census of 30 and approximately 8 visits per day
• Must have 2 years of pediatric cardiac sonography experience required
• Required certifications: ARDMS or CCI, BLS (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Must be comfortable with outpatient procedures, crash cart situations, scrub techniques, and aseptic technique
• Perform 2-D Echo, color Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, M-Mode, and portable studies
• Handle complex pediatric cardiac cases including aortic arch abnormalities, coarctation of aorta, hypoplastic heart syndrome, tetralogy of Fallot, and transposition of great vessels
• Work with patients ranging from neonates to adults in ICU/ED settings
• Use Cerner charting system and Philips equipment
• Wear maroon/wine scrubs with free parking provided
• Must live outside 100-mile radius (no locals accepted)
• New contracts and extensions must be minimum 10 weeks
• Overtime requires pre-approval and is rarely granted
• Must complete compliance documents 10 days prior to start date

This Level I Trauma teaching hospital and children's medical center provides comprehensive pediatric cardiac services with 554 staffed beds. The facility serves as a certified comprehensive stroke center offering specialized care for complex pediatric cases. The echo department features modern equipment and interdisciplinary support including interpretation services and rapid response teams, maintaining high standards for pediatric cardiac sonography services.
