Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, academic children's hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of pediatric cardiac sonography experience.

Details

• Work in a pediatric cardiac sonography unit within a Level I Trauma, academic, short-term acute care children's hospital with 554 staffed beds
• Outpatient setting with 3 procedure rooms
• Required case types include crash cart procedures, scrubbing, and aseptic technique
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• No floating outside of scope required
• Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric cardiac sonography experience required
• ARDMS or CCI certification required
• Current BLS required
• Pediatric cardiac sonography experience is required — general cardiac sonography experience alone is not sufficient
• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with a completed exemption form signed by a provider for medical exemptions
• License required if applicable

• Parking is provided at no cost
• RTO requests exceeding 7 days require approval; all time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• A 6-month break is required for any traveler who has worked 4 consecutive assignments at this facility or reached the one-year mark, whichever comes first
• New contracts and extensions must be a minimum of 10 weeks
• Pending state license is accepted
