RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts with block scheduling to be determined
• Call requirement: minimum 2 days per week and every 3rd weekend
• Daily census: 5-7 patients
• Minimum 1 year experience required (first-time travelers accepted with 3+ years experience)
• Scrub experience is required
• Must be able to circulate and provide conscious sedation
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS
• Documentation systems: Cerner, McKesson
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Float requirement: 100% required to other units within hospital or affiliate hospitals
• Serve patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics
• Procedures include: cardiac catheterizations, balloon pumps, temporary pacers, permanent pacemaker/defibrillator placement, pericardial effusion, STEMI calls
• IR procedures: venous access, drain placement, GI tube insertion, pulmonary embolism, DVT treatment, TIPS procedures
• Equipment experience required: McKesson-Hemo, balloon pumps, Angio Jet, CSI diamondback, various C-arms (Philips/Siemens), ACIST, MEDRad power injector
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Two pre-approved time off days available
