RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with cardiac focus
• Patient ratios: 1:5 (may occasionally flex to 1:6)
• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities
• 2 years of nursing experience required with cardiac experience mandatory
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Must hold both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Must complete EPIC training modules and various compliance modules
• Skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, post-cardiac procedures, IV therapy, chest tube management, wound care, and various specialized equipment
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Daily census of 18 patients in 19-bed unit

The facility operates as a teaching hospital with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
