RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 8-week assignment duration
• Work every other weekend (EOW)
• 30-minute lunch required - no skipped meals allowed
• Nurse to patient ratio 1:4 for all shifts
• Care for all age groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults & Geriatrics
• Work in high acuity, high volume emergency department with 32 rooms
• Combined Adult/Pediatric work setting
• Minimum one year recent ER experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Alabama license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS via AHA, NIH, Fit Test
• Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC
• Skills include: Blood Product Administration, Central Line Care/Management, IV Starts, Continuous IV Sedation, IV Vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration, Ortho-Trauma
• Pediatric-specific skills: Identifying & Reporting Abuse, Near Drowning, Respiratory Infections, Seizures
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Non-billable orientation modules averaging 8 hours
• Local candidates considered within 60-mile radius

The facility features a 32-room emergency department with Level II Trauma capabilities and comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. The emergency department maintains advanced capabilities for complex medical situations and trauma care.
