RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule requires 3 shifts per week (3x12 hours)
• Weekend coverage required, likely every other weekend
• Patient ratios: 3:1 during days, 4:1 during nights
• Float to medical-surgical and rehabilitation units as needed
• Expected to work 1 of 2 major holidays and surrounding days (July 4th and Memorial Day)
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• No license hits accepted
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 30-bed unit
• Handle patient diagnoses including sepsis, NSTEMI, DKA/HHS, CVA, respiratory failure, CHF, and acute renal failure
• Perform special procedures including post-catheterization care, TEE/cardioversion, stress tests, and post-operative care
• Work with specialized equipment including cardiac monitors, PCA pumps, and end tidal CO2 monitors
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility environment
• Complete pre-start modules taking approximately 5-6 hours
