RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Resource Pool position based at Cherokee Medical Center with potential float to main campus SMC when needed
• RN will know ahead of time where they are scheduled
• Patient ratios of 1:6
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• One of the following required: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across Church Street and Mary Black Campus
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day of orientation
• Pass/fail cardiac dysrhythmia test given on Monday orientation with ONE chance to pass
• Telemetry test required upon beginning of placement
• Must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Work with centralized telemetry monitoring with tech support
• Care for patients with sepsis, dementia, post-op, orthopedic, chest pain, and rule-out stroke cases
• Work with special equipment including chest tubes and wound vacs
• 2 years experience preferred, will consider 1+ year on case-by-case basis
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Shaving may be required to pass fit test onsite
• Strict attendance policy: more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract may result in contract cancellation
• Guaranteed hours based on signed contract hours
