RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Maintain 1:5 patient ratio serving adults and geriatric patients
• Weekend requirement of either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Float within skillset as required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Management of cardiac drips without titration
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Central and peripheral line care and management
• Respiratory support via nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Non-invasive airway management
• Use of rapid response and code teams
• Maintaining isolation precautions
• Care for Medical-Renal patients and chronic vent patients
• 28 hours of orientation provided

This is a private, not-for-profit, general acute care teaching hospital with 703 licensed beds. It serves as the region's only Level I Trauma Center for both adult and pediatric patients and is a certified stroke center. The facility is Magnet designated by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, recognizing excellence in nursing for more than twenty years. The hospital is affiliated with medical schools and maintains comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
