RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:5 contingent on hospital capacity and ED volume
• Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Epic charting experience required
• 3 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Will be required to float within skillset
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must have experience with cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, respiratory support, rapid response teams, and medication protocols
• Work in ED Transitional Care Unit (TCU) - a 16-bed admission unit where med/surg or PCU level patients are held awaiting inpatient bed assignment
• Carry out inpatient orders and complete admission databases in preparation for patient transfer
• Must be comfortable working without CNA support
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
