RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Variable shift times - manager will accommodate reasonable scheduling
• 2:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required with varying number of weekend shifts per contract
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in medical ICU setting
• Work with 8-bed ICU unit with daily census of 6 patients
• Required certifications: CA RN License, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (must obtain prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years experience required, 3+ years preferred
• Previous travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Nursys verification within last 2 weeks required
• 7-year work history verification required
• Two references obtained within the last year required
• 50-mile travel requirement applies
• One holiday time off will be approved
• Skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and various ICU procedures
• Work with special equipment including Arctic Sun, BIS monitor, and NICOM
• Interdisciplinary support available from physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, and radiology
