RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 84 hours biweekly with 72 hour guarantee
• Must agree to 36/48 hour alternating schedule or straight 48s with 72 hour guarantee per 2 week period
• Required to work weekends as needed, which may include most weekends during the contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated, but set schedules cannot be approved
• Must be agreeable to floating, as the position will support primarily Med Surg
• Float required between Med Surg and PCU units
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 6 patients during nights
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years of experience required and travel experience strongly preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Patient diagnoses include MS/PCU overflow
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, pacemaker care, and wound care
• Must complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer
• License must be in-hand before start date
• Hard documents due 3 business days prior to start
• Modules completed during orientation (2-3 hours average)

This healthcare facility operates a progressive care unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The facility utilizes Epic charting system and provides specialized care for patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment between medical-surgical and intensive care levels.
