RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Intensive Care Unit with 1:2 patient ratios on all shifts
• 20-bed ICU caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Required to float to Medical-Surgical unit
• Every other weekend coverage required
• 8-hour orientation provided
• Mandatory competency required for phlebotomy and IV placement
• Care for patients with sepsis, post cardiac arrest, and ARDS diagnoses
• Work with specialized equipment including ventilators, balloon pumps, EKOS, Level I Rapid Infuser, and EPOC
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must have 2 years of ICU experience and Epic charting experience
• NY nursing license required in hand to submit
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
• Navy/white scrubs required
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Skills required include arterial line management, ventilator management, cardiac drip titration, blood product administration, central line care, and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias
