RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patient ratio 1:2 with occasional 1:1 based on acuity
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Must have NY license in hand prior to submission
• EPIC charting experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must live over 75 mile radius from facility
• Float pool assignment as needed
• Care for 16-bed unit with patients including sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest, respiratory failure
• Manage specialized equipment including CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, Impella
• Skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, ABG interpretation
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Complete pre-start modules (up to 5 billable hours)

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates an 18-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit providing comprehensive critical care services. The facility features advanced medical technology and specialized equipment for complex patient care including ECMO, IABP, Impella, and CRRT capabilities. The unit provides interdisciplinary support through IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries to ensure comprehensive patient care.
