RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:2 across all shifts
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Travel experience required - first time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred)
• Indiana state license must be in hand prior to start date
• Dress code: red top with black bottoms
• Charting system: Cerner
• Free parking provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 14-bed ICU with open heart program
• Handle patients with stroke, trauma level 2, STEMI, sepsis conditions
• Work with equipment including IABP, CRRT, ventilators, and manual proning
• Provide care for post-cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, and vascular surgery patients
• Manage patients requiring vasopressors, continuous sedation, and renal replacement therapy
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• Two supervisor references required

Facility:

This 194-bed short-term acute care hospital features a comprehensive 14-bed ICU with specialized programs including open heart surgery and neurosurgical services. The facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center and stroke unit, providing STEMI care and advanced life support including ECMO stabilization programs. The closed ICU model ensures 24/7 intensivist coverage with in-house physicians overnight, supporting a large surrounding community area with the ability to flex up to 20 patients when needed.
