RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Float pool position working on Med Surg units and Med Surg boarders in other departments (ICU, ED, PACU)
• Patient ratios of 1:5 across all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• Self-scheduling system
• Weekend requirements: 3 weekends on and 3 weekends off for 6-week schedule, dependent on balancing needs
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• New Mexico license can be pending at time of submission
• No locals within 100 miles accepted
• Black scrubs required
• Cerner charting system
• Free parking available
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Skills required include: feeding tube care, pre/post hemodialysis management, blood product administration, central line blood draws, peripheral line management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV starts, heparin administration, chest tube management, high flow nasal cannula, and isolation precautions
• New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks
• Overtime must be pre-approved by client and approval is rare
• RTO greater than 7 days needs approval
• Must complete non-billable modules averaging 6 hours
