RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Block scheduling with every other weekend required
• 13 weekend shifts per contract
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census of 4 patients in 8-bed unit with 6 rooms
• California RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (must be AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must complete non-billable modules during orientation (1-5 hours average)
• Skills include: ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, IV drip titration, blood product administration, procedural sedation, and various critical care procedures
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 50-mile travel requirement from residence
• 7-year work history verification required
• 2 references from within the last year required
• Only one holiday time off will be approved per contract

This community hospital operates an 8-bed intensive care unit providing comprehensive critical care services to adult and geriatric patients. The facility maintains excellent interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services. The ICU features modern equipment and technology to support complex patient care needs, with a focus on delivering high-quality intensive care in a community hospital setting.
