RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Deliver direct and individualized nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery
• Provide care for adults and geriatric patients in a 33-bed Progressive Care Unit
• Patient ratios: 4:1 during days, 5:1 during nights
• Self-scheduling with 6-week schedule periods
• Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (12 total weekend shifts per contract)
• May be required to float to different floors or other campus locations
• 64 hours of orientation required
• Must live 150+ miles from facility
• Required certifications: RN license, BCLS, ACLS, NIH
• 2 years of experience in service line required
• Travel experience preferred
• Altera charting experience preferred but not required
• Must complete facility drug screen upon arrival (includes marijuana testing)
• Must be available to complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Complete non-billable modules during orientation (average 6-8 hours)

Facility:

This medical center operates a 33-bed Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of approximately 30 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization emphasizes collaborative patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes through professional nursing standards.
