RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work Tuesday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Patient ratio of 5 during day shifts
• Must live 150 miles or more from facility
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required skills include: lobe resection, lung resection-thoracotomy, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic assisted procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, closed reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, open reduction of fractures, ortho/spine, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate
• Additional skills required: fire safety, cell saver, administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol procedures, wound management, general OR
• Care for patients including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Charting system experience required (Altera preferred but not required)
• Travel experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Must complete mandatory drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Required to complete modules during orientation (average 6-8 hours, non-billable)
• All documentation due by Thursday 2:00 PM CST prior to start date
