RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Patient ratios typically 1:6, may flex to 1:7 during unplanned absences
• Every other weekend required
• On-call PRN for low census situations
• Float to other med surg units as needed
• 2 years of experience preferred, first-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina license or Compact license required prior to start
• BLS certification required, ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Epic experience required
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Skills required: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin, Rapid Response
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with typical medical surgical diagnoses
• Work with telemedicine equipment (instruction provided)
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Must be available for emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• Complete approximately 4 hours of non-billable modules pre-start

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a 12-bed general medical surgical unit with 34 total staffed beds. The facility uses Epic charting system and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The unit cares for patients with typical adult medical surgical diagnoses including diabetes, renal disease, hypertension, CAD, stroke, and chest pain, with all patients eligible for telemetry monitoring provided by monitor technicians in a central location.
