RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
• General ED adult/pediatric ER experience required
• MUST have Cerner charting system experience
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics
• Daily census of 90 patients with 39 rooms/beds
• Skills include blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, emergency medications, IV starts and maintenance, triage, and procedural sedation
• Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, transportation, and unit secretary
• Must have compact license or MD license
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• No RTO permitted during first two weeks of assignment
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
