RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 5, 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• No weekends or holidays required
• Late stay sign-up required for call coverage
• 13-week assignment duration
• Must be proficient in all OR specialties, particularly orthopedics, breast/plastics, urology, gynecology, and general surgery
• Work in Outpatient Pavilion with 6 operating rooms
• Handle surgical cases including general, gynecology, breast/plastics, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, and eye procedures
• Average daily census of 35 patients with 25 visits per day
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Float to main OR as needed
• Required certifications: BLS and Virginia license (ACLS and CNOR preferred)
• 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Previous charge experience and trauma level experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• 24 hours of orientation required
• Must attend Epic training class (accelerated or 2-day)
• Up to 7 hours of non-billable modules required during orientation
• Smoke/nicotine free facility
• One approved time-off request allowed per contract
• Must maintain Virginia license active at time of submission
