Opportunity:

Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Job Details:

• Perform computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients under general supervision
• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations
• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare patients for examinations
• Review clinical data on requisitions and perform appropriate examinations
• Prepare procedure rooms and regularly replenish stock such as linen and related supplies
• Analyze anatomical structure of patients, set up equipment, and perform CT scans
• Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information from body areas being studied
• Administer intravenous contrast media including utilization of power injectors
• Monitor patients for possible reactions and provide immediate care if reactions occur
• Prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies for procedures
• Assist Radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
• Perform all imaging procedures demonstrating principles of radiation protection
• Resolve image exceptions and ensure high quality image delivery into PACS
• Complete all study indexing in Radiology Information System
• Transport patients to and from emergency department
• Required: Associates degree in Applied Science in Radiology, BLS certification from AHA, ARRT (CT) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital setting required
• Prior experience working in fast-paced environment and independently
• Must have peripheral IV insertion experience or be willing to obtain training
• Strong people skills and communication abilities required
• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
