Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Administer radiation therapy in accordance with physician's instructions and patient treatment plans
• Enter data into computer systems and set controls to operate and adjust equipment and regulate dosage
• Assist physicians, radiation oncologists, clinical physicists and others to prepare physical and technical aspects of radiation treatment plans
• Construct patient immobilization devices as ordered by physicians
• Maintain patient and billing records, reports and files according to department policies and procedures
• Perform routine and complex radiation therapy treatments including total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and low and high brachytherapy
• Prepare equipment and room for patients
• Use appropriate protective equipment and procedures to ensure safety of patients, self, and others
• Perform quality assurance procedures per state and federal guidelines
• Provide on-the-job clinical instruction and evaluation for student radiation therapists
• Temp to perm opportunity
• Local candidates will be reviewed first
• Elekta experience preferred
• No prior experience required
• Required: Graduation from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program approved by the Council of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA)
• Required: Radiation Therapy certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
