Opportunity:

MRI Tech - MRI Technologist

Job Details:

• Perform patient identification using professional methods and verify patient identification
• Obtain patient history and assist patients and family members requiring extra attention
• Document pregnancy status on patients of child bearing age
• Demonstrate knowledge of MRI and cross-sectional human anatomy
• Operate MRI scanners competently and perform automatic injections of MRI contrast
• Work with disc drives, gateways, PACS and laser printers
• Interpret protocols and select appropriate scanning parameters
• Administer oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols
• Establish intravenous lines and administer IV contrast following safe injection procedures
• Maintain thorough understanding of PACS and transmit images to QC, EMR, EPIC and PACS
• Verify and segment images at QC station and complete orders in timely manner
• Run schedule creating consistent workflow and produce quality diagnostic images
• Review patient charts and reports for correlation
• Maintain clean and orderly work environment
• Precept new employees and students
• Completion of accredited educational program in Radiological Science required
• Must be registered with American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible
• Advanced certification in MR required within one year of employment
• Must maintain current competency in HCP BLS
• Siemens experience preferred
• Position is temp to perm with local candidates reviewed first
