Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care to assigned group of patients during shift using the nursing process
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required
• Must successfully pass Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to starting assignment
• One re-test opportunity available; second failure results in contract cancellation
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patient/family and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care episode
• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Two years current experience required in 18+ bed telemetry/progressive care unit
• Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Must be team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS
• BLS and ACLS must be from American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Required education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
