Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients in the pediatric intensive care unit
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must have 1 year of nursing experience and Level I trauma experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact license, BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Computer skills required
