Description
Opportunity:
RN - Neuro PCU
Job Details:
• Provide nursing care to patients with neurological conditions ranging from simple to complex health problems
• Work on a Stroke and Neuro floor serving as a comprehensive stroke center
• Care for stroke, neuro, orthopedic, and spine patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 3:1 for step-down patients and 5:1 for all other patients
• Stroke experience and NIHSS certification preferred
• Must be willing to precept new staff and potentially work in virtual room settings
• Assume responsibility for assigned patient groups and document patient responses to interventions
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and administer prescribed medications
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Delegate tasks to support staff and make appropriate referrals
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License required
• Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required
• Strong communication skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
