Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patient/family and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout episode of care
• Assume responsibility for clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Float between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles as required
• Two years current experience required in an 18-plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit
• Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Must successfully pass a BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia) test onsite before starting assignment
• One opportunity to re-test if initial test is failed; second failure results in contract cancellation
• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS
• BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Required education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
