Opportunity:

RN - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work four 10-hour shifts with potential schedule fluctuations to meet department needs
• Weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday; 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) and holiday coverage required per staff rotation
• On-call responsibilities as needed
• First week orientation not to exceed 40 total hours, includes EPIC training
• Scrubs required and provided by the facility
• Must be able to scrub in for procedures
• Minimal congenital pediatrics may be required
• Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent location
• Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Minimum 2 years current experience in Cardiothoracic surgery required
• Must be flexible and comfortable in fast-paced environment
• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS
• Preferred certifications: PALS and ACLS
• BLS (and ACLS, PALS if obtained) must be through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• EPIC experience preferred but not required - training provided on-site
• Provide direct patient care utilizing nursing process for cardiovascular surgery patients
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
