Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Float pool position providing nursing care to pediatric intensive care unit patients
• Holiday and weekend shifts required
• Must have Level 1 and Medical Surgical (MS) experience
• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Make appropriate referrals for patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), Current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Computer skills and ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients
