Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care to assigned group of patients utilizing the nursing process
• Work in an 18-plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit environment
• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required
• Must successfully pass a BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrythmia) test onsite before starting assignment
• One opportunity to re-test if initial test is failed; second failure results in contract cancellation
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document according to policy
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs
• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Must be team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
• Two years current experience required in telemetry/progressive care unit
• Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Required certifications: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS
• BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing required
