Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during shifts in the Emergency Department
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care episodes
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required
• Must successfully pass onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test before starting assignment
• One retest opportunity available; second failure results in contract cancellation
• Two years current experience in large Emergency Department required
• Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• Epic experience preferred but not required; onsite training available
• English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing required
