Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care to assigned patients in the emergency department during each shift
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and care
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care episode
• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing
• Must successfully pass Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test - failure after second attempt results in contract cancellation
• Two years current experience in large emergency department required
• Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Must be team player, flexible, and comfortable in fast-paced environment
• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles required
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• New Mexico or Compact State nursing license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Epic experience preferred but can train on-site
