Description
Opportunity:
RN - Neuro PCU
Job Details:
• Work as a Registered Nurse in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit with stroke and neurology patients
• Care for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Handle stroke, neuro, orthopedic, and spine patients in a comprehensive stroke center
• Patient ratios: 3:1 for step-down patients and 5:1 for all other patients
• Stroke experience and NIHSS certification preferred
• May need to precept new staff and work in virtual monitoring rooms
• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Interact with families regarding care plans and discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to support staff
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current Oklahoma RN license or multistate compact license required
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association required
• Strong communication skills and computer skills necessary

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
