Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Administer radiation therapy in accordance with physician's instructions and patient treatment plans
• Enter data into computer systems and set controls to operate and adjust equipment and regulate dosage
• Assist physicians, radiation oncologists, clinical physicists in preparing physical and technical aspects of radiation treatment plans
• Construct patient immobilization devices as ordered by physicians
• Maintain patient and billing records, reports, and files according to department policies including radiation dosages and equipment settings
• Perform routine and complex radiation therapy treatments including total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and low and high brachytherapy
• Prepare equipment and room for patients
• Use appropriate protective equipment and procedures to ensure safety of patients, self, and others
• Perform quality assurance procedures per state and federal guidelines
• Provide on-the-job clinical instruction and evaluation for student radiation therapists
• Elekta experience preferred
• No prior experience required
• Must be graduate of Radiation Therapy Technologist program approved by CAHEA
• Radiation Therapy certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
• English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking required
