RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Excellent IV skills required for initiating, regulating, and monitoring intravenous infusions and blood products
• Instill prescribed pupil-dilating drops as part of patient care
• Conduct patient interviews and comprehensive assessments
• Recover phase 1 PACU patients with ability to manage airways and address pain or nausea
• Care for patients aged 6 months to 95 years old
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Familiarity with surgical eye cases strongly preferred (cataracts, cornea, retina, glaucoma, plastics)
• Ability to maintain fast-paced work environment and embrace teamwork
• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Interact with families regarding care plans and discharge planning
• Make referrals to appropriate personnel for patient care needs
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
