RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in emergency department overflow/expansion area
• Trauma and travel experience required, Level 1 experience preferred
• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients to share care plans during hospitalization and discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff and make referrals for patient care needs
• One year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License (or multistate compact), BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Computer skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients
