RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide specialized nursing care in Vascular Interventional Radiology under general supervision
• Experience required in Neuro IR, Vascular IR, or General IR
• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene when necessary
• Administer prescribed medications
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
• Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge planning
• Oversee treatment provided by technicians and other service providers
• Delegate tasks to support staff and make appropriate referrals for patient care needs
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Current Oklahoma RN license or multistate compact license required
• Current BLS certification required upon hire
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
• Must complete orientation and demonstrate ability to function independently in specialty area
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Computer skills and ability to work effectively as part of specialized care team
