Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity:

Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Job Details:

• Work in Emergency Room, Inpatient, and Outpatient units at a Level 2 Trauma Center
• 13-week contract assignment
• Perform computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients
• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations
• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations
• Review clinical data on requisitions and perform appropriate examinations
• Analyze anatomical structure of patients and set up equipment for CT scans
• Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors and monitor patients for reactions
• Assist Radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
• Demonstrate principles of radiation protection including patient shielding and ALARA techniques
• Complete all PACS and RIS documentation and ensure high quality image delivery
• Hospital experience required
• Required certifications: ARRT (CT) and BLS
• Must have 2 years of CT experience and experience with GE and Phillips equipment
• Must have workstation experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
• Dress code requires pewter scrubs
• May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients
• Occasionally lift and move equipment and patients exceeding 10 lbs
