RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 0.9 FTE night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage as needed
• On-call and call-back coverage as needed
• Maintain patient ratio of 4:1, may flex up to 5:1 in a 48-bed unit
• Must successfully pass Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test before starting assignment
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required
• Provide direct patient care using nursing process for medically complex patient population
• Care for Med/Surg level patients without direct ICU escalation path
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document according to policy
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Recognize, de-escalate, and respond to deteriorating patient conditions
• Must wear solid scrubs with matching tops and bottoms
• Two years current experience in 18+ bed telemetry or progressive care unit required
• Completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment required
• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State nursing license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• No charge or precepting responsibilities
