RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during shifts
• Utilize nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to coordinate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs
• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing
• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required
• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
• Two years current experience required in medical surgical specialty
• At least one 13-week previous travel assignment required
• EPIC experience preferred; on-site training available
• Required education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required
• BLS certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required
• English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing required
