RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care to medically complex patients awaiting community placement in a long-term stay setting
• Care for Med/Surg level patients in a facility without direct escalation path to ICU
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 nurse to 7 patients
• Work weekends as needed
• Participate in on-call and call-back coverage as needed
• Must successfully pass BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia) test onsite before starting assignment
• One opportunity to re-test if failed - second failure results in contract cancellation
• 2 years current experience in 18+ bed telemetry or progressive care unit required
• Must complete at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork and flexibility in fast-paced environment
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Recognize, de-escalate, and respond to deteriorating patient conditions
