RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care to assigned group of patients during shift using the nursing process
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable patient care
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care
• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required
• Must have 2 years current experience in 12+ bed cardiac critical care and/or intensive care unit
• Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Must be team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
• Must pass BCA (basic cardiac arrhythmia) testing during first week of assignment
• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• BLS & ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Required education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Preferred experience: Open heart, LVAD, balloon pump experience
• EPIC experience preferred but not required; training available on-site
